Obamacare
Or How are You feeling Today
A new president came into office with a sagging economy, rising unemployment, a financial crisis brought on in large part by federal government interference in the free (such as it is) market and the failure of federal agencies to regulate properly, a continuing War on Terror, and a host of other pressing problems. So what does the new president tackle?
Health care.
Say what?
Health care.
President Obama decided to concentrate his energy, time, and political capital on health care just as the Clintons focused on health care in the early 1990s.
Why?
Power.
Control.
Are two reasons Obama selected health care because health care is the fastest way for a socialist to take complete control of the American economy. This complete control is what the Clintons wanted and is what every socialist wants so people’s lives can be planned, organized, controlled, directed, and managed by a Big Brother government in Washington, D. C.
It is not reform and Obama has no plan for health care. Where is the plan he talks of in speeches? Senator Max Baucus just released a “plan” he developed over the past few weeks. It is not the Obama Plan for there is no Obama Plan. But any plan that empowers faceless bureaucrats in DC is one Obama will sign. Obama wants to extend the government’s nose farther into the health care tent in order to control people’s lives.
The federal government recently offered a “Cash for Clunkers” program to encourage folks to trade in old gas guzzlers for modern vehicles with higher CAFÉ standards. The feds spent $3 Billion in this effort to clean up the highways and stimulate the automobile economy. However, most dealers complain of no/late payments from the feds for the thousands of old cars they accepted and paid the buyers.
If the feds cannot operate a simple “Cash for Clunkers” program, why should we Americans expect the feds to run a health care system?
During the 2009 August Congressional recess millions of Americans expressed their opposition to the feds taking over health care. Surveys show that most people are happy with their health care coverage and want no changes to it. Many exercised their right of speech at town hall meetings and told their elected federal officials they wanted no federal government takeover of their health care system.
In turn these folks were criticized, called rioters, radical right wingers, extremists, organized by the Republican opposition. The media played from the Obama handbook and joined in the bashing of people freely speaking their minds .
In a few months we went from adoring a politician who cut his teeth on ACORN –a community organizer- to condemning folks for self organizing and expressing their views to their elected representatives.
Change! You asked for it!
To paraphrase PJ O’Rourke, if you think health care is expensive now, wait until it is free!

Our Illustrous Leader
During the recent election praises were sung to the young leader.
School children were herded into a chorus and taught to sing praises to his name.
The news media fawned and panted over the bright rising star on the political horizon.
Sounds like North Korea or Cuba or Iran or Syria where rulers are lauded with songs from school children.
No, it was the good old USA singing praises to Obama the Great.

First Lady
The current First Lady may be our first Queen.
I hear she has a staff of 20 or so to look after her interests, whatever they may be.
In the past First Ladies had one or two people to assist with correspondence, but since First Ladies have no official duties they required no taxpayer funded staff.
Until Queen Michelle.
A staff of 20 to handle no official duties?
What do these people do all day?
Babysit?
No, Grandma does that.
Cook?
No, White House staff does that.
Clean?
No, White House staff does that.
Drive?
No, Secret Servcie staff does that.
Entertain?
Well, maybe.
How were these positions justified and authorized?
I bet the Obama national press corp never brings it up.

The people have expressed their views over the proposed "reform" of health care at numerous town hall meetings with their elected represnetatives. For the most part the people are opposed to the fed governement sticking its nose any deeper into health care. Most folks are happy with the care and treatment they currently receive and see no need to alter the system.
But what about the 45 million people without insurance?
So what?
How many of the 45 million are illegals?
How many are currently between jobs (therefore no employer provided insurance)?
How many are between the ages of 21 and 35 and do not want or need health insurance?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm?
Illegals do not deserve health care unless they pay for it.
Folks between jobs will pick up insurance later.
Young people see no good reason to waste their money on health insurance. If they have medical problems they best obtain insurance.
The politicians dislike hearing opposing views about health care and some Reps and Senators have ceased their town hall meetings becuase they can't take the heat.
Get out of the kitchen, I say.

The only reason Obama and the Left want to "reform" health care is to seize 1/6th of the American economy. After seizing the automobile companies, the banks, and the insurance companies health care is the big ticket item.
This effort is disguised as "reform". Does any sane person think the federal governmant can "reform" health care when it cannot run a cash for clunkers program, cannot control our borders, cannot control its own budget, and cannot run a mail service without running a deficit?
Only fools and silly people trust the federal government to improve anything about health care. The government should NOT be involved in health care.
Period.

Apologize or Apologia?
Our President thinks it necessary to apologize- repeatedly- for what he deems American past mistakes. While we have made many mistakes in the past, just think of Jimmy Carter to start, it may be helpful to remember the great things America has done.
Remember what we did for the world in the 20th Century. Two wars started by the Euros pulled us from years of isolation. Many Americans gave their all to free Euros from the evils of fascism and its twin, communism. America spent billions if not trillions rebuilding Europe and Japan after those two wars. American ideas, inventions, investments, and foreign aid brought many areas of the world into the 20th century.
Yet the American Left sees only the comparative few mistakes as worthy of discussion. And make no mistake here, President Obama is an American Lefty.
Since when is the liberation of 50 million people viewed as a mistake? What is wrong with freeing people to make their own political and economic choices? Why is democracy viewed as a mistake by the American Left?
So instead of profusely apologizing for what HE thinks were mistakes, Obama should be issuing an Apologia for American Exceptionalism.
Do not hold your breath in anticipation of this.
